• Local Data Only: All your budgets, transactions, envelopes, crypto holdings, and settings are stored exclusively in a local JSON file on your device. We never collect, store, or access this data on our servers.
• Usage & Technical Data: When you visit budgetbits.io or use the app, we may automatically collect basic technical information (e.g., browser type, IP address) for analytics and to improve the site. This does not include any of your budget details.
• Third-Party Services: CoinGecko API is used solely to fetch current cryptocurrency prices (BTC, ETH, and others). No personal data is sent to CoinGecko. No other third parties receive your financial data.

2. Cookies and Tracking

We use only essential cookies to make the site function (e.g., remembering your theme preferences). No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any of your personal or financial data. Your budget information never leaves your device.

4. Your Rights

You have full control over your data. You can delete the local JSON file at any time to remove all your information from BudgetBits.
